"Law enforcement agencies reported a slight decrease in hate crimes last year, despite an increase against gays and lesbians. The FBI reported more than 7,600 hate crime incidents in 2007, down about 1 percent from last year. Racially motivated hate crimes accounted for more than half of that total. Religious bias was the second-leading motive [...]
We never quite know what to make of these stories… Australian researchers have found suggestive evidence that transgender identities are genetic. From the BBC: DNA analysis from 112 male-to-female transsexual volunteers showed they were more likely to have a longer version of the androgen receptor gene. The genetic difference may cause weaker testosterone signals, the team reported in [...]

Some California parents are royally - and understandably - pissed at the Yes on 8 campaign. The campaign, which hopes to revoke gay citizens' right to marry, recently ran the above ad in which they again claim that same-sex nuptials will infiltrate the public school system. And to prove their point, the commercial's creators used [...]

Tips for a More Successful Appraisal (http://nationalgaynews.com/content/view/4226/173/) Real estate appraisals are powerful, particularly in today's nervous market as loan underwriters take a more skeptical approach to approving mortgages for buyers and homeowners have more trouble qualifying for home equity loans. The appraised value of a home is, after all, the benchmark banks use to calculate collateral, so it directly affects sales prices. Even if a buyer offers a higher price the sale will not go...
Connecticut Supreme Court Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled Friday that gay and lesbian couples have the right to get married. The ruling makes Connecticut the third state, after Massachusetts and California, to decide its constitution mandates treating citizens equally when applying for marriage licenses, regardless of their sexual orientation. Interpreting our state constitutional provisions in accordance with firmly established equal protection principles leads inevitably to the conclusion that gay persons are entitled to marry...

This photo really does say something about McSame's last stand in New Hampshire. (Making Light)

Left: Saturday afternoon, with less than two weeks to go before the election, the McCain headquarters in Lancaster, Coös county seat, was oddly - quiet. Right: And another, a photo taken in Concord, NH, on Sunday night around 7 p.m. "Lights are off, no one's home, and apparently the space is available immediately."

Clearly eBay seller venturepaper has no interest in the selling a mug shot of Bill Ayers. At 99 cents, the real purpose of item #110303979828 is to post this crap, which includes address and phone numbers related to Ayers' workplace. Has it not sunken in yet that no one gives a damn about this? It's below the fold.

Photo is a representation of the Ayers-Obama connection. Barry H. Obama's head is not actually this big.

Should this sort of thing run on eBay?
Picture: Obama Pal, BOMBER / teacher @ Univ of Illinois
William Ayers: Admitted bomber/ Marxist- Obama buddy !

The University of Illinois, Chicago must be very, very proud to have William Ayers, domestic bomber, as part of their teaching program. Otherwise, why would they want this creep hanging around.
Ayers calmly states "Kill your parents."  He brags he is..."Guilty as Hell, Free as a bird." Below is the publically available information on Ayers directly from the UIC website in case people doubt he is still actually paid to instruct kids at UIC.

*** This auction is for a picture of a pathetic loser. "An old washed up terrorist "  as John McCain called him in Debate #3. ***
A person who set bombs in public places. A dopey, no class,  miserable America -hater. He is also the mentor Obama went to see for launching his politcal career. Obama went to the bottom of  the swamp to dig this hose-bag out of the muck, and that is just a clear sign of POOR JUDGEMENT! Obama LIED about his relationship with this social misfit.
Hopefully the parents paying the tuitions to this "school" know the violent background of the gutless terrorist teaching their children. Do the alumni know they are giving money to a school that lets this creep wander their hallways? Contact Bill Burton at University of Illinois but don't expect much information from him.

Ebay auction is for the mug shot of ,  (you can also just print it off the internet) :
William Ayers, ADMITTED US DOMESTIC TERRORIST and buddy of Barack Obama. Years of solid contact between them, and they live in the SAME neighborhood of Chicago.  Suspicious.......YOU BET IT IS. Even a fool can smell a skunk when he lives in the same hole.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Obama decides to reward his Chicago-buddy mentor with a position in his new order government. Think of the historic changes that William "Nailbomb" Ayers could bring to our country as Head of Homeland Sewage Department or even Homeland Security. Ayers could work his bag of tricks from the inside with Obama's blessing.
Obama says he was only 8 years old when William Ayers started his terror bombings in America. Pictured below is US terrorist William Ayers and little sidekick Barrack Obama. Ayers is a flag stompping, America -hater.  Obama is one of his cronies.

Question: Does it really make a difference as to when you knowingly buddy-up with a bomb blowing scum? Is Obama being honest about ACORN and Bill Ayers?  .... He is hiding his twisted past and his goal of income redistribution,(Socialism.)

Wake up America!

Paid for by:  CITIZENS TO HELP KEEP TERRORIST CRONIES OUT OF IMPORTANT WHITEHOUSE POSITIONS COMMITTEE  (CITTERCOM)

Say you are the McCain campaign. You are short on resource, to the point that your campaign is conceding important swing states like Michigan and Colorado. Say you've pegged your last, best hope on carrying the handful of remaining swing states, despite the fact that you are trailing in a few of those contests. Say that in order to win you need to flip Pennsylvania from blue to red despite being ten points down in the polls. If you are the McCain campaign, what do you do with your dwindling resources in order to maximize your remaining opportunities? If your answer was, "send both McCain and Palin to Iowa," you would sadly be correct. Both McCain and Palin attended a series of events in the state this weekend.

Iowa, home of the nation's first caucus and a place where Barack Obama is ahead in the polls 52% to 39%, is where the McCain campaign has chosen to spend its limited time and resources during the waning days of the 2008 election. This is McCain's fourth visit to the Hawkeye state in nearly as many weeks. Once there, he and running-mate Sarah Palin attended three separate events to rally support to help overcome their 13 point deficit in the polls.

The fact that McCain is spending time and money in Iowa is further evidence he, and his political team, have accepted the likelihood of a November loss. Their only path to victory lies not in Iowa but in Pennsylvania, yet in Iowa they remain? The reason for this is likely the fact that in four years another Republican will attempt to sway the voters of Des Moines and Davenport, and it would be unseemly for McCain to abandon the gracious voters of Iowa this time around. Instead he will try and leave the 2012 Iowa caucus voters invigorated by the positive image of a Republican fighting to the last. McCain's hoping to sow his legacy into the fields of Iowa. By diverting much needed time and resources from his campaign, McCain is praying the next Republican in line (Palin?) can beat Obama.

In the mean time the Obama camp should continue to execute their "get out the vote" efforts while in the backs of their minds planning an acceptance speech because, if the McCain campaign is to be believed, Barack Obama is about to become the 44th president of the United States.

"I mean, when you see 700 shambling dead zombies walking toward the Civic Center up the bridge, it would probably get the Secret Service's attention. So we gave them a heads up on it to make sure they know we're not doing any kind of protest or (are a) threat in anyway."
-- Dan Burrello, organizer of the Asheville Zombie Walk that drew 700 of the undead to Flint Street and past the Civic Center where Bible Spice rallied up the nutter troops
The Asheville Citizen-Times covered a Palin rally on Sunday, where there were about 300 protestors -- and a bunch of zombie fans.
The walk has been in the works for a year, and is organized for people who love zombies, horror films and to celebrate Halloween, Burrello said. Some of it also is a statement on consumerism and society, though the fact the Zombie Walk is taking place during Sarah Palin's visit is pure coincidence.

"It's fascinating because regardless of the party, so much of politics is mindlessly following," Burrello said.

You have to read the CoverItLive blog as well, it's a hoot. Some snippets:
Lisa Loper, her daughter Cassidy Maney, from Sevierville, Tenn., drove about an hour and 45 minutes to get here. "I wanted my daughter to see this," Lisa said. "We just think this is a very important election," because of the moral issues at stake and the economic crisis.

3:03  Carla Lovelace, of Clyde, came out to see Palin because "she's got kind of a bad rap." She wanted to see Palin unfiltered and unedited.
"His economic issues kill the American dream," she said. "His defense policies kill the American spirit. His moral and ethical policies kill what America was built on."

3:05 Karon McPeeters, from Marion, says she came out because, "I like what she stands for.
"I have a niece that lives in Alaska and she says she's doing great things for Alaska," she said. "She has come up through the ranks like the rest of us."

3:10 Seen at the scene:
Nathan Ramsey is handing out McCain stickers to everyone passing by.
"No socialism. No class Warfare, No Obama, no way!"
A significant anti-abortion contingent is present, with signs reading:
"Unborn for Palin"
"Pro-life for Palin"
"We vote pro-life"
"Palin power"

T-shirts:
A homemade one says, "You betcha!"
"Another small town religion-clinging, gun-toting American voting for McCain and Palin."

3:15 Tim Pack is wearing a small name tag that simply says, "Joe." Although he is a Libertarian, Pack says he is coming to see Palin because he is a feminist. "I support Palin I hope she is successful in everything she strives for," he says.

Uh, delusional. Video of Palin and more of the AC-T's live blog is below the fold, including some zombie action.
Palin, speaking just nine days before the Nov. 4 election, set a folksy tone from the beginning. Country music star Gretchen Wilson had fired up the crowd with a set before Palin arrived, but Palin invited her to sing one more song, her hit "Redneck Woman."

"We got any rednecks in here tonight?" Wilson asked, drawing thunderous applause.

As Wilson sang, Palin, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and white shirt, danced a little on stage, slapping her hip in cue with the song's lyrics. Palin also had the crowd sing "Happy Birthday" to her mother while she held a cell phone in the air.

Back to some of that liveblog.
8:30
She saying that it is not negative campaigning to call someone out on their records, their plans and their associations.
8:31 John McCain and I are for a real tax cut, she said.
8:31 We've really got to hand it to Joe the Plumber, she said. He got Obama to state his true intention in plain language, she said. She's talking about spreading the wealth, and the crowd booed.
8:33 She mentions Biden saying that paying taxes was patriotic. She said Joe the plumber said it sounded like socialism.   The crowd roared. She likes the a poster here that says "I"m Joe Mama"

9:15 A few zombies stood outside after the rally, beating a drum. One had a megaphone and said, in a zombie-esque tone, "Zombies for Palin."

After being deposed by the independent investigator inspecting the TrooperGate TaserGate Scandal, Sarah Palin returned to the campaign trail with a new foe in sight: Katie Couric. This time Palin hit hard claiming the interview made her look bad because she was annoyed with Couric's frivolous line of questioning:
“Last time I was here I got to tell a crowd that I had to give a national interview that didn’t go so well,” she said. “And it was because I was kind of annoyed with the questions I was being asked because I thought they were kind of irrelevant to, you know, national security issues and getting our economy back on track, so I kind of showed some of that annoyance.”  CNN
Palin claims to have been frustrated with Couric demeaning and patronizing her by limiting her line of questioning to what romance novels she likes best and where she got her shoes instead of asking legitimate questions on issues of national interest such as:
  • what do you see as the role of the United States in the world?
  • I know the McCain campaign has called for a surge in Afghanistan. But that country is, as you know, dramatically different than Iraq. Why do you believe additional troops, U.S. troops, will solve the problem there?
  • Do you think the Pakistani government is protecting al Qaeda within its borders?
  • You’ve cited Alaska’s proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that? . . . explain to me why that enhances your foreign-policy credentials.

It's an absolute shame when the Main Stream Media refuses to engage Sarah Palin in a way to showcase her vast knowledge on national/international affairs instead of overtly dismissing her by noting that nobody cares if she can answer [legitimate] questions. Worse yet, their insistence on changing the topic to her clothes, hair and make-up is something they would never dream of doing to a male candidate.

I was just surfing like I do and ran across a link to this interview.  Barbara West is some twink from WFTV channel 9 in Orlando Florida.  Wait until you hear the questions she asks.

Got to Love Joe Biden and how he handled this.  And if you are interested in how she interviewed McCain. Did she interview Bible Spice, click,,,,ummmm,,,Ohhh she doesn't do these interviews.

The doyenne of discrimination at the Center for Military Readiness, Elaine Donnelly has freaked out over the endorsement of Barack Obama by Colin Powell, and the probability that DADT would be repealed. She tapped out her screed over at The Tank at the National Review:
The normal human desire for privacy and modesty in sexual matters has not changed-particularly in what the law describes as "forced intimacy" in close combat units. Colin Powell, however, may have changed in the face of relentless criticism from gay activists.  Wrote DeYoung, "He had never been attacked by liberals before, particularly as a bigot; it bothered him far more than he had anticipated."

...If General Powell is not concerned about the consequences of repealing the law, he cannot be described as a conservative or even the credible leader of the military that he used to be. If Powell does not favor all of these consequences, why has he announced his intent to vote for Senator Obama, who has promised to push for repeal of the 1993 law?  Either way, General Powell is letting down the men and women of our military.

Steve Ralls breaks it down over at Bilerico:
Following a blistering rebuke earlier this year on Capitol Hill - where she was called "just plain dumb" by one lawmaker - and a Pulitzer-worthy pounding in The Washington Post, one would think that Elaine would be holding all of her opinions for secret tribunals. But instead, she has elevated her attacks on military personnel one decibel higher.

This time, Elaine has her hairnet in a bundle over one of her former heroes: Retired Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell.

...It's no wonder why Elaine is worrying her well-coiffed head. Among lawmakers who have said they support continuing to exclude LGBT personnel from the armed forces, most have cited Powell's continued support for the same position as their justification. And earlier this year, following Powell's statement that the day would soon come when the ban would be lifted, Senator John McCain (who has also cited Powell as a reason for supporting the ban) modified his own position somewhat, saying that he would now consider reviewing the law.

My question is what will Elaine Donnelly do for a living once DADT is repealed? Is there a market for her crap after that? Wouldn't you miss unhinged statements like this?
..."Like a woman who is stared at, her breasts are stared at," Donnelly explained. She further explained the "absolutely devastating" effect of homosexuals "introducing erotic factors" and made a comparison to Sen. Larry Craig's adventure at the Minneapolis airport. She said admitting gays to the military would be "forced cohabitation" and a policy of "relax and enjoy it."
