Choose a Realtor Wisely to Save Money (http://nationalgaynews.com/content/view/4223/173/) Any time somebody decides to sell their home the cost of hiring a professional real estate agent is one of the biggest bottom line factors, and that is doubly true during a real estate recession like the one faced by Americans at the moment. Real estate brokerage fees contribute a substantial portion of overall costs and may be the most expensive line item charge on a real estate...

Hot off the press, the latest ad from Republicans Against 8:

Would you run backwards? Would you bike backwards? Then why take California backwards?

That's what Republicans Against 8 is asking California voters in its latest online ad, "Backwards," released today.

"Backwards" urges voters from across the political spectrum to protect the California Dream for all families by voting No on Proposition 8-"It's unfair. It's unnecessary. It's Backwards.

How does it feel, John McCain, to have an economy in a shambles because of your party, people in need of jobs, yet there are citizens with enough dignity to refuse a GOP check to shovel sh*t over the phone to voters? The first case is in West Virginia:
Chaylee Cole, a student at Fairmont State University, lost her part-time job in Weston last Friday after refusing to make telephone calls attacking Barack Obama.

McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee were paying for the calls, according to a "work paper" handed to Cole and her co-workers at the Weston offices of 1.2.1 Direct Response, a company based in Philadelphia.

"I was working at the call center," Cole said. "We got a campaign ad talking about how Obama had been part of terrorist attacks on the Capitol, the Pentagon and a judge's home and had ties with Bill Ayers.

"Last Thursday, I told them I did not want to read it," Cole said. "They said, 'Either you read it or you go home.'

What was she told to read?
"Hello. I'm calling for John McCain and the RNC because you need to know that Barack Obama has worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, whose organization bombed the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, a judge's home and killed Americans. And Democrats will enact an extreme leftist agenda if they take control of Washington. Barack Obama and his Democratic allies lack the judgment to lead our country. This call was paid for by McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee at 202-863-8500."
And another RNC call center staffer, this time in in Wisconsin, Ted Zoromski of Middleton, was handed the same script and quit over the vile, nonsensical propaganda.
"This is not really different from any of the other messages we've had out there," said Marc Jefferson, of the Wisconsin GOP. "We've seen Barack Obama attack John McCain over his staff people and who they've been associated with."

Meantime, Ted Zoromski is unemployed, but says his conscience is clear.

"Even though I was being paid to do it, I didn't feel comfortable, he said."

Last week ABC 30 News ran a report on what local churches are doing in efforts to pass Proposition 8.  Reporters interviewed members of a specific church receiving a “huge” shipment of “Yes on 8” paraphernalia.  During the segments commercial breaks, ABC channel 30 ran ads promoting “Yes on 8.” You would expect to find [...]
