International Gay News Headlines (T25T-3)

The Delhi High Court today ruled that a ban on gay sex between adults violates India's constitution. Section 377 was enacted in 1860 under the British Raj, in line with the anti-sodomy laws in England at the time.


The General Teaching Council for England (GTCE) has been accused of rewording a teachers' code of conduct after faith groups complained they would have to "promote" homosexuality under the code.


Gay rights activist Peter Tatchell has promised to be on his "best behaviour" while marching alongside the prime minister's wife at Pride on Saturday.


A gay male claims that he was the victim of a homophobic hate crime during a rock show at East Brunswick Club last Saturday night - he was shamed on stage by a performer he'd paid to see, and had a drink thrown in his face.
It's official - the New Delhi high court has overturned India's Section 377, which means that gay sex between consenting adults is now legal in New Delhi. It doesn't apply outside of the capital, but it's a start.
