"How I Spent My Morning", by Louise! ;)
Of course, any true Mainer knows the proper November greeting is not the above but rather "Gotcha Deah Yet???", but you get the gist!
So, here we are.
15, yup- FIFTEEN!- days until November 3rd.
So, it's definitely time to get those "No On 1" yard signs adorning the front yard, then pop them along the roads and highways.
And this takes many, MANY people working their own local areas and beyond, tapping into their networks of friends, family and neighbors to recruit more hands or pick their brains to find more folks who want signs or can be recruited to help.
Think of this as throwing a large rock into a pond and watching the ripples work outward and outward...

Thanks, everyone- let's do this thing and win this one!
WGME-13, Portland CBS coverage- there is video available on the link and here's the story from their site:
Vow to Fight: The Latest on the Same Sex Marriage DebateMaine Speaker of the House Hannah Pingree and former Maine Attorney General Jim Tierney joined "NO on 1" Campaign Manager Jesse Connolly Monday to refute recent claims, statements and a new television ad from the "Yes on 1" Campaign.
The "Yes on 1" campaign maintains that while the attorney general says there's nothing in the law that would lead to same sex marriage being taught in schools, there's nothing that says it won't, either.
H/t and my very grateful thanks for video and report to OpenLeft's Adam Bink.
Adam has been here in Maine for awhile covering different events and I highly recommend popping over to his site for more of his in-depth reporting "on the ground" here in Maine! :)

Apparently Chris Christie, who's running for governor, doesn't even support CUs, and if elected, would push for a marriage amendment. Check out his "Shared Values" page:
I also believe marriage should be exclusively between one man and one woman. While, I have no issue with same sex couples sharing contractual rights, I believe that marriage should remain the exclusive domain of one man and one woman. If a bill lill legalizing same sex marriage came to my desk as Governor, I would veto it. If the law were changed by judicial fiat, I would be in favor of a constitutional amendment on the ballot so that voters, not judges, would decide this important social question. So ya'll civil unioned peeps in NJ -- this clown wants you to carry a stack of legal contracts in your car, demoted beyond what your relationship already is under separate and unequal status. BTW, Christie recently lied about his stance to the AP:
Republican gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie says if he wins next month, he'll do all he can to block the state from allowing gay marriage - possibly even pushing to amend the state constitution. His own campaign web site exposes his flat out lie; and even more impressive on the wingnut scale, he received the endorsement of the Family Research Council. Incumbent Jon Corzine's response?"If you're going to make that type of groundbreaking societal change, people should get the chance to vote on it," he said in an interview Friday with The Associated Press.
...Christie says he supports civil unions.
Corzine/Weinberg '09 Communications Director Sean Darcy today put out the following statement about Republican gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie's endorsement from the Family Research Council:"Chris Christie's endorsement today from the pro-life, anti-gay, and radically conservative Family Research Council confirms what we've always known. Whether it's Christie's plan to allow insurance companies to drop coverage for critical procedures like mammograms and autism treatments, support for a constitutional amendment to ban abortion, or his siding with ultra-conservatives in opposing life-saving stem cell research, Christie is extremely wrong when it matters most."
