International Gay News Headlines (T25T-3)

The US state of Maine will decide today whether a recent law allowing gay marriage should be allowed to remain.


Lesbian couples in Scotland will soon be given equal rights to fertility treatment on the NHS. Following legal action by one lesbian couple, the government has set up an advisory group which is expected to recommend early next year that lesbians should be routinely allowed access to NHS fertility services.


Gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell has claimed he is a victim of "lies and smears" after complaining about a chapter in an academic text.
